When the walls of your mind close in
Take solace in your internal dialogue
For the outside world will pass by all too quickly
Calm will once more bring peace.

With your every breath, remember
Every line on your son's hands, you know
Importance is relevant like so many things
Forget what you have been told, let go.

Hold onto your heart, take care of it
But not so tight that it does not see the sun
Leave the fear behind. Hurt is a choice,
Push it away, lock it out, change is necessary.

First Post

I'm not quite sure where this blog is going, or even if it's going anywhere, but I'm hoping that I can leave some little snippets of what comes out of my head, this is a page where the only rule is .. be kind .. I ask that all opinions, mostly my own are respected and are let to just 'be'.

I believe everyone has the right to be and believe whoever and whatever they want, as long as that doesn't hurt (in the human rights way) anyone else.

It is my goal to eradicate discrimination in all its forms (at least for starters, in my life) by simply not giving those topics any room to exist.. these things exist because of culture, office culture, religious culture, ethnic culture, family culture.

I am defining my culture:

There are people in the world

... after that, who knows my definition will change every day.. what I think about all things will change every day.. I know I don't know all the facts and that's what makes me knowledgeable. I know I can still learn, but I know that peace in my heart starts with only seeing differences in people by the way they treat me, not by the way I treat them.

I hope to use this blog as a way to put the things that go on in my head on "paper".. but I'm only human so please give me space to show off my flaws for all to see.
